about

The first single released from our band.

lyrics

We’ve been waiting through the seasons
To fall into our place.
All we want is a hope for progress,
And even fight, and a fairer race.

They say we act entitled,
We think we know it all.
We end up in single file,
We’re raised to march down the halls.
Ancestors fought in wars,
I’ll fight this broken system.
No they can’t hear the cracks,
‘Cause they don’t wanna listen.

And why exactly would they anyway?

We’ve gotta become the next greatest generation,
Because if we don’t who will?
Fixing a crisis ain’t a right, it’s an obligation.
So why are we all standing still?

Miss Swift tells us not to worry,
To just get down and dance.
Just like 45 years ago,
All we need to do is give peace a chance.
But it’s easier said than done
When nobody’s on your side.
And when any attempt at improvement
Is considered a sign of lack of pride.

Ancestors fought in wars,
I’ll fight my student loan debt.
I can’t do much more,
‘Cause we don’t make the rules yet.

I hope we can find it in our hearts
To look up to the skies, up from our phones.
We still have time to find a place in history,
That we can be proud of calling our own.
